Timeshare Depot International was established on December 1st, 2003. Please click here to see the State of Florida certificate.
How does your exchange program work?
After you have become a member you will receive one deposit form for each week you wish to bank with us. In return we will send you an exchange request form for each such week. After you’ve completed this form and forwarded it to us we will research our own inventory for a possible match. If that does not produce the desired result we will contact other industry sources (resort developers, vacation clubs, resort management companies, other exchange clubs, etc. that belong to the same association we are part of) with your request. Chances are that your request will be fulfilled at the time. If not, our members are banking resort condos with us everyday, so if we didn’t find a matching week right away we’ll put you on a wait list and notify you immediately once we’ve found what you are looking for. We may also offer you alternatives depending on your vacation preferences. Keep in mind that the sooner we know what you want the better your chances are to getting your requests fulfilled. We are in a position to accept and offer week deposits for each and every timeshare location on the planet. That includes all resorts RCI and II are affiliated with and others.
What are my chances of getting my exchange requests fulfilled?
The more flexible you are the better. First, choose a large geographic area instead of asking for a specific resort. Secondly, don’t pick a specific week. Give us several weeks to work with. Try to stay away from holiday weeks everybody wants them. Therefore, availability is extremely limited. Forget about what your timeshare sales people told you about the exchange program. They tell you whatever you want to hear to make the sale. Exchange programs are exciting and do work well if you are flexible.
How come you can offer your services for a lot less than my current exchange company?
Since Timeshare Depot Inc. is not affiliated with any resorts our inventory is constantly changing. It does not make sense to print a costly resort directly that would need to include all RCI and II resorts. We also don’t see the need to publish a fancy vacation magazine most people don’t even read. We are saving a ton of money right there on printing and postage. However, we may email you a newsletter here and there if we find information that we consider to be beneficial for our member base.
Can you help me rent my week?
You may bank your week with us for renting and because we are actively notifying our members of available weeks within our network you don’t have to worry about your week expiring and we will notify you of offers we obtain from other members.
Do I need to cancel my current exchange club membership?
We highly recommend it for several reasons. First of all, why in the world would you want to pay two or even three exchange companies if you can simply join Timeshare Depot Inc. and cancel everything else and get your unused portion of your membership renewal fee back from your current exchange provider(s)? Secondly, there is always a chance that you may (unintentionally) double bank your week(s) with your company and us which could cause unnecessary problems and liabilities on your part. Thirdly, we enable you to receive credit for weeks you’ve already banked with your current exchange companies and buy an additional before those credits expired.
How does your re-sale program work?
We will market your resort to our members that have booked a stay there and to members of our other associations. As soon as we have obtained an offer from another member for your week, we will immediately introduce that person to you so you can negotiate the final price and terms directly with each other. If you or your buyer needs help with financing and/or closing procedures we’ll be happy to assist you. Keep in mind that you may transfer the remainder of our Timeshare Depot membership to your buyer at no cost to sweeten the deal.

Do I have to pay for a Guest Passes?
We encourage you to share the joy with friends and family. Allow your guests the use of your vacation accommodations. Unlike others, Timeshare Depot Inc. does not charge you for the Guest Pass; we believe it is a privilege you have already earned.
Why should I rent my vacation time?
Not sure what to do with your week this year? With our rental program if you’re not using your week and wish to recoup a portion of your yearly expenses, this would be a great choice to make.
How soon should I bank my week?
The sooner the better; unless you want to stay at your home resort and have a fixed week, we recommend you deposit it as soon as possible so you do not find yourself trying to bank it too late in which may result in extra fees or loosing the week.
How late can I bank my week?
Weeks need to be banked at least 90 days before their start date unless a TDI authorized a shorter period of time in writing. In that case an exchange fee surcharge of $100 applies. Exchange requests can only be granted for periods that start at least 30 days after the banked week has passed.
Can I cancel my membership?
This membership may be cancelled at any time or transferred to a third party at no charge. However, TDI enrollment fees are never refundable and the unused portion of this membership is refundable only if TDI failed to provide the services as outlined in this agreement.
Can I request an exchange into a larger unit than what I own or for a higher demand season?
Yes, but remember, exchange is based on like value. If you give up a unit that sleeps two in low season, that is what you are entitled to. TDI allows owners the flexibility of requesting a larger unit or a higher demand season by paying an upgrade fee. |
